I actually can’t remember when it started, but literally every single morning I wake up saying the exact same thing: “I’m so exhausted.” And I literally am. On average, I would say I get about 7ish hours of sleep a night, maybe, if I’m lucky, but the thing is, there’s a distinct difference between feeling tired, and visibly looking tired. You know the look. Puffy eyes, puffy face, dark circles, larger than life pores, dry skin and facial imperfections that even makeup can’t seem to cover up.

Yesterday was one of those days. I looked in the mirror and thought, “Do I really look like this? What did I do to deserve this? What can I do to save myself?” It’s days like these show how salt, alcohol or sleep deprivation can get the best of us, and it’s literally painful to look in the mirror. But feeling sorry for myself is not an option. Some tips on how i improved it
1.The rush of daily life cannot be an excuse to drink less than two liters of water a day, as this is essential to deflate the whole body, after all, swelling gives up tiredness. Coconut water and green tea are also good options. “Keep an eye on juice boxes and soft drinks that choose a lot of sodium and don’t abuse salt in meals, as it helps in fluid retention”.
2. A moving body is a healthy body, so make time for the gym. “The muscle contraction itself already contributes to the drainage of liquids. Combine exercise with a balanced diet, increasing consumption of kale, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower as well as red fruits such as berries, pineapple, natural pomegranate juice and ginger, as vegetables and fruits improve the elimination of toxins”.
3. As soon as you wake up, wash your face with cold water and a soap specific to your skin type. “Preferably, the product should have botanical extracts with anti-inflammatory, calming and decongestant action, such as chamomile, fennel, witch hazel and marigold. They will help reduce swelling”.
